Our Mission…
…to enhance the quality of life for the people of the island of Exuma in The Bahamas, both now and for generations to come.

Welcome to The Exuma Foundation!
-
Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the people of Exuma, both today and for generations to come. We do this by thoughtfully managing gifts for operating capital, addressing the island’s most pressing community needs through selective grant-making, and providing compassionate philanthropic leadership to guide and support positive change. Through these efforts, we strive to create a lasting impact that enhances the well-being and future of Exuma.
-
The Exuma Foundation was born in 1998 out of the shared vision of a group of dedicated educators, local residents, and passionate individuals who deeply love the island of Exuma. Their collective dream, paired with a generous donation from the Benjamin Family Foundation, laid the foundation for an organization committed to enhancing the lives of the island’s people. Since its inception, the Foundation has thrived thanks to the unwavering support of collaborators, volunteers, and donors who, like its founders, are deeply committed to making Exuma a better place for everyone. Together, we continue to work toward improving the quality of life on the island, building a stronger, more vibrant future for all.
Our mission is both simple and powerful: to enhance the quality of life for the people of Exuma, both today and for future generations. We accomplish this by encouraging and managing gifts for operations, capital, and endowment, addressing the island’s community needs through selective grant-making, and providing philanthropic leadership that supports Exuma’s growth and prosperity. Through these efforts, we aim to create a lasting, positive impact for the people of Exuma, building a brighter future for all.
